This review is rather self-serving; since it is a review of the site navigation menu for my collection of desktop enhancement sites which appear on the net under the name of Witts End.

The site referred to is called Wallpapers Copious Amounticus and serves as the navigation menu for my collection of free desktop enhancement sites.

The collection of Witts End sites host several thousand full size desktop wallpapers in such categories as: SciFi, Star Trek, Star Wars, Babylon 5, Animals, Scenery and Abstracts. These full size wallpapers are at a minimum 800x600 resolution with newer additions leaning toward 1024x748 resolution. For the most part they were all designed by the various authors as wallpapers and thus are of good quality. They are all free for your downloading and using/viewing pleasure.

Most of the sites are sub-categorized as each contains anywhere from several hundred toa few thousand wallpapers.

Each site and sub-category contains thumbnails of the full size image so you can have the luxury of viewing hundreds of thumbnails before finally actually downloading the full size image.

Included in this collection of Witts End sites are sites that feature SciFi Startup/Shutdown screens AND Nature Startup/Shutdown screens. Each of these Logo type sites contain dozens of their respective full sets of logos screens.

Another series of the sites feature free SciFi,Fantasy, &Nature Scenery Themes I have collected from all over the net for the past few years.

And finally last and probably least is a site featuring SciFi cursors & Icons and another one featuring SciFi background Tiles.

All together these sites constitute several hundred megs of largely imagery files for you use and pleasure. You can visit any of the sites and sign up to receive the now monthly newsletter that lets you know which of the sites have been updated with new images.

Many visitors have commented that these sites constitute the best collection of free desktop available on the net. I only get about 400 to 500 hits collectively at the sites per day so they don't hog a lot of bandwidth.
