Computer Stupidities

This site contains a large collection of stories and anecdotes about clueless computer users. It's a baffling phenomenon that in today's society an individual, who might in other circumstances be considered smart and wise, can sit down in front of a computer screen and instantly lose every last shred of common sense he ever possessed.

Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal

CSICOP encourages the critical investigation of paranormal and fringe-science claims from a responsible, scientific point of view and disseminates factual information about the results of such inquiries to the scientific community and the public. Its a bit scary that the percentage of people in North America that believes in unsubstantiated nonsense continues to increase; while in Europe the percentage decreases. I personally attribute such ignorance to the tidal wave of crap programing being produced in the U.S.A.

Hot Sheet Com

An Internet website directory, or portal, specializing in listing popular and useful web destinations frequented by a wide general audience. The 12 primary categories provide over 500 links to premier sites with appeal to both new and experienced web users. Making HotSheet unique is the single-page presentation of the main directory, and the focus on listing only "cream-of-the-crop" websites.

The Anthropology Department at the California Academy of Sciences houses the Rietz Food Technology Collection. Containing approximately 1,700 items, this collection was assembled by Carl Austin Rietz, an inventor and businessman in the food industry.
