Best Games Cd Ever
Jan 31, 2001
Of the 64 games on my computer, 5 or 6 of them see 90% of the gaming action; and half of the those games are off the Moraff Jongg CD. The image above is a screen shot of one of the games called Ring Jongg which is a variation of the Mahjongg theme; as are Moraff's MoreJongg, SphereJongg, 3D-Jongg,RingJongg,
YourJongg. A huge selection of dazzling backgrounds and tiles is available with each of these Mahjongg type games.
Other games on the Moraff disc are: Moraff's Jiggler 3D, Fancy Jiggler,Memory Jiggler, Radiation,
CyberPinball,CyberCheckers,Falling Blocks,CyberDice,Escapade,Phrase Detective,UltraBlast,and finally
CyberMemory. Not too shabby a list of games for only for $39 U.S.
All of Moraff's Windows games are nonviolent games that challenge the mind. Moraff's games combine
music, art, and photography into great entertainment. Each of the games have many options such as changing the backgrounds or the tiles; keeping score or not, easy, medium or difficult arrangements, and a host of others. This is what makes the entire set so adaptable for all ages and skills. All of the games work well and are very stable in Windows95/98.
A brief description some of the games follows:
MoreJongg
These are all variations on the traditional Mahjongg solitaire. Mahjongg is an ancient and popular Chinese gambling game that involves playing with tiles and putting them into patterns. The object of the More-jongg variation is to remove all of the tiles from the screen in sets of three. The tiles are piled up in three-dimensional format and you may only remove tiles that are on the top and have empty space either to the left or to the right of them. Great sound effects and amazing graphics, while relaxing Chinese music plays in the background. Included are 75 extra layouts, 200 tile sets and hours and hours of music and loads of photo images to import!
YourJongg
Similar to above, this is a photo-realistic Mahjongg with tile designs of art and photography. The 3D large tiles are either portrait or landscape (tall or wide) just like real photographs, with beautiful backgrounds, and classical music in the background.
SphereJongg
Here is a variation of Mahjongg with spherical pieces. It is much easier to play but just as challenging to win! The large globe-shaped 3D tiles are very easy to identify, no more eyestrain. This is great for young children. Again, great graphics and classical music and European photography. Many different sets of sphere tiles are included.
RingJongg
This is Mahjongg with rings instead of tiles. The rings are made out of beautiful materials like wood and marble, and many others.
3D-Jongg
Many 3D tile sets to choose from. Tiles are removed in triplets instead of pairs in this game, adding an exciting new level and challenge to the Mahjongg solitaire concept. Includes an hour of classical music.
Cyber-Pinball
You can play up to five balls at once (if you choose the expert version) while enjoying great sound effects, music, full-screen graphics, and dazzling backgrounds. There are five machine layouts; lots of flippers and bumpers. It boasts the highest resolution of any pinball game to date.
Although there are various checker games for computers, this version is unusual because you can choose from a variety of themes for the pieces, the background board and the music. You can also choose a level of difficulty.
Escapade
Escapade is a super-high-quality animated arcade/logic game for Windows. You run around picking up pieces of the thirty different screens and try to rearrange them to your own advantage. With more great graphics and sound, this game is very easy to get into, the rules are simple, but playing it well and solving the screens is an extraordinary challenge.
Jiggler-3D
A unique 3D jigsaw puzzle game. The height of each piece changes as you move it around, giving you clues about where it goes! You can either use one of the many backgrounds on the Moraff disk, or import your own images as puzzles.
Phrase Detective
A wonderful, new, and innovative word game. High-resolution 3D letter blocks spell out a phrase but are all jumbled up. By exchanging blocks you attempt to reconstruct the phrase. Your language skills will be very helpful, but you are also aided by your spatial perception. The distance from a block's correct position determines the height of each block, the taller the block, the farther it needs to move.
Radiation:
Moraff calls this his Minesweeper on steroids! If you're a minesweep freak, you'll love this. The animations, neat sounds and spectacular backgrounds include 3D ray-traced image pieces and photo backdrops from NASA and the Hubble Telescope, or you can import your own. There's a choice of board size and levels as well as music tracks.
UltraBlast
Moraff's UltraBlast is a super-high-quality animated arcade game for Windows. Full-screen image backgrounds, spinning swirls and blinking eyes for balls, full sound! Features includes 16 million colors, 256 colors at 64k, keeps complete high-score lists, customizable. Includes two beautiful brick image-sets and exploding balls, with cool artwork and sound effects.
There is truly something for every age group on this disk - well worth the price.
